Therapy gives children and adolescents a safe, judgment-free space to express themselves and learn practical skills for managing emotions, stress, and relationships. Clinicians tailor their approach to each young person’s age, culture, and needs, and involve families in developmentally appropriate ways.
Therapy does not promise a specific outcome, and it is not a quick fix. It is a supportive, collaborative process that meets each young person where they are.
Care usually begins with a free 15-minute consultation so you and your child can get a feel for the clinician. Early sessions focus on getting to know your child, understanding what is going on, and setting shared goals. For younger clients, caregivers are typically part of the process.
